Thoro - Implementation of a new graphic design for the PrestaShop online store of a Polish lighting manufacturer.
Thoro is a lighting manufacturer that combines minimalist design with the highest quality workmanship. Our task was to implement the redesign of the PrestaShop online store, based on the provided UX/UI project and the existing store infrastructure.
Project in a nutshell
Preparation of the development environment
We prepared a development environment along with a project repository on GitHub, thanks to which we gained full control over the code and the possibility of safe work on the new layout. This allowed us to implement changes without affecting the sales continuity of the production store.
Implementation of the new store graphic design
We coded the new look of the Thoro store based on the design provided by the client. It required precise reproduction of desktop and mobile views, along with adapting functionality to new assumptions - so that the whole thing was consistent and functional.
Testing and publication
We conducted detailed functional and visual tests, verifying the correctness of implementation at all purchasing stages. After approving the quality, we published the new store look on the production environment.
Result of work and further support
The result of our work is a new look for our client's PrestaShop online store, which comprehensively refreshed the users' shopping experience. We programmed over 40 UX/UI views previously prepared by a branding agency - both in desktop and mobile versions, working on the existing store infrastructure (Backend). The project included, among others, implementing the home page, categories, product card, cart and purchasing process, as well as subpages such as "About Us", "Distributors", "Designers" and many others. Thanks to this, the Thoro store gained a modern and consistent interface, fully consistent with the brand's new branding, without changing the operation of the back office (administrative panel).
As part of further cooperation, we provide constant care over the store, taking care of operational stability, ongoing support and developing it with new functionalities and subpages according to our client's needs.
